When the four Pevensie children are sent from London to live in the country with Professor Digory during World War II, none of them are expecting to be launched into the adventure of a lifetime! Based on the book by C.S. Lewis, First Act’s The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe   production portrays this adventure with imagination, excitement, humor and plenty of magic! Lucy, the youngest, finds her way through a wardrobe into the fantasy land of Narnia, where mystical and forest creatures talk, and meets a friendly faun named Tumnus. When her brother Edmund follows, he encounters the evil White Witch who has Narnia under her spell, forcing a forever winter. According to a Narnian prophecy, Edmund, Lucy, Peter and Susan Pevensie are the "chosen children" who will defeat the Witch, unless she defeats them first! When all four children accidentally find themselves in Narnia together, they meet the true ruler - Aslan the lion - and assisted by Narnians, they must challenge the Witch and try to fulfill their destiny as the Kings and Queens of Narnia.  Filled with theatre magic, battle scenes, fantastic costumes, and imaginative staging, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe is a First Act favorite that is not to be missed!

Students in this camp spend a full week focused on developing a scripted play.  They will dive into the theatrical and creative process through workshops which will give them the opportunity to participate in audition training, acting techniques, stage combat, movement, set and props creation, makeup and costume design and challenging rehearsals for a fully staged summer production. No preparation is necessary; all students receive a role and attend rehearsals culminating in two fully staged and costumed performances.
