POLICIES
CASTING:
First Act programs engage students in technical, design and performance experiences in all of our classes and camps. We focus on the process of theatre rather than the product and encourage students to approach all roles with enthusiasm and integrity to the craft of Theatre, emphasizing that all parts are essential to a production. All enrolled students will receive a role with a minimum of one line and/or two songs (in the case of musicals), and will be onstage for a minimum of two scenes, regardless of age, experience or ability. All students receive an educational audition preparation workshop as well as an individual and a group audition time. Students of staff members are treated in the same manner as any other student with the same opportunities in casting and participation in the camps. Staff members receive complimentary tuition for their children as a portion of their compensation for their time and efforts in our classes and camps. All returning students are given an equal amount of opportunity in both leading and supporting roles, offering them ongoing experience in all levels of performance. High School students accepted into our Apprentice program may also receive roles in the production.
REFUNDS/CANCELLATIONS:
Cancellations up to two weeks prior to class start date will be refunded in full, less a $40 registration fee. Cancellations made less than two weeks before the camp start date will be non-refundable.
