*NEW!* STAGE LEFT Point of Grace location production:
Lemonade & Lies - A Mystery!
Here’s a “who-dunnit” play that will keep you guessing and laughing the whole way through! It’s the mid 1940’s and an eclectic group of guests have gathered on a tropical island at the Welcome Back Inn for everything from magic tricks to scientific experiments to celebrity rejuvenation when suddenly they find themselves embroiled in a possible murder! Who did it and how did it happen? That’s anyone’s guess—is it the fault of the lemonade? No one will find out until the play is over! With a cast of characters based on comic stereotypes that will remind you of the best of Gilligan’s Island, including Mad Scientists, a Marine Officer, A Movie Star, an upcoming Actress, a Naturalist, A Magician and his outgoing Assistant, a stoic Butler and many more--this play is sure to have the perfect role for every young actor!
Our new middle school program offers older students some challenging, age-appropriate techniques in their approach to youth theatre, regardless of acting experience. Audition skills are introduced and refined. Creative movement, vocal control, memory, acting technique, and self-confidence are fostered throughout the nine weeks of rehearsal. Participants learn music and dance choreography and engage in creating a prop or set piece that will be used in the show. And of course, the process will all culminate in a FREE fully-costumed dress rehearsal and performance where students will share their work in a full production.
Enrollment is open to anyone in grades 5-8
