Alice in Wonderland

Picture
For students entering Grades 2-8 in Fall 2022

Monday-Friday, June 20-24, 2022

10am- 4pm
(Friday until 7pm including the performances)

Performances:
  • Friday, June 24
  • 3:30pm and 5:30pm
Young Alice is driven by curiosity as she follows a rabbit down his rabbit hole and finds herself in a crazy and ridiculous world full of eccentric characters! Searching for the rabbit, she meets singing flowers, talking cards, the Mad Hatter, the March Hare, the Doormouse and the loudest Cook and Duchess there ever was! When a languid Caterpillar offers her advice, along with a mysterious Cheshire Cat, she makes her way to the court of the Queen of Hearts, where she is an honored guest. But when the Queen accuses Alice of stealing some cherry tarts, she must defend herself to the silliest jury of all! Young actors of all experience levels are encouraged to join us on a mad romp as we dance, act and sing our way through Wonderland in this musical theatre escapade!

Students in this camp spend a full week focused on developing a scripted play.  They will dive into the theatrical and creative process through workshops which will give them the opportunity to participate in audition training, acting techniques,  stage combat, movement, set and props creation, makeup and costume design and challenging rehearsals for a fully staged summer production. No preparation is necessary; all students receive a role and attend rehearsals culminating in two fully staged and costumed performances.
